A letter from our CEO: It may be the end of the year, but we are just beginning!

There’s a great quote about revisiting the past. I’m not sure who said it first, but it is often repeated—and for good reason:

“The only time you should ever look back, is to see how far you’ve come.”

Without a doubt, that time is NOW. In spite of the challenges we faced in 2021, it was a remarkable year for us. Over the past year, we received many accolades, including the Top Workplaces USA Award (Energage), CRM Excellence Award (CUSTOMER magazine), “Top Innovator” in the Visionary Spotlight Awards (ChannelVision Magazine). Not to mention the Gartner® “Market Guide for Communications Platforms as a Service” report identifying IntelePeer as a Representative Vendor distinguished by its developer and co-creation capabilities and IDC MarketScape: Worldwide CPaaS 2021 Vendor Assessment naming IntelePeer a Major Player in the space.

IntelePeer teams across all departments were integral in the successful launch of several new products and services like App Marketplace and Reputation Management. We closed out the year with industry-defining partnerships and product integrations with Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, IBM Watson and Zoom. We’ve bolstered our staffing and added new roles with incredible talent, too many to name all here. I am confident we are destined for great things under the direction of our leadership team, to which we added a slew of savvy leaders to take us into the new year, including:

  • Andre Simone, Chief Operating Officer
  • Thomas Conway, Chief Financial Officer
  • Tom Dziersk, Chief Revenue Officer
  • Chris Botting, Chief Product Officer
  • Brian Gilman, Chief Marketing Officer

I attribute our 2021 successes to our partners, customers and IntelePeer employees, all of whom share a passion for bringing technology and the human genius together to solve new challenges. Without a doubt, one of the most significant customer trends impacting companies today is the demand for more personalization in every interaction. Businesses are having to go to greater lengths to show customers they’re valued and understood. That’s where IntelePeer shines. We know we are not competing with other CPaaS vendors; we are competing with every other experience a customer has.

Looking forward, the customer’s growing desire for information that is accurate and timely will continue to drive the growth of the CPaaS market because it shouldn’t be a struggle to research and find a product or service online and get immediate answers and support. But it often is, particularly on a company website where customer service contact information is buried deep within the site. That’s why the technology that will deliver the greatest value to customers in 2022 is low-code and no-code CPaaS solutions. And we couldn’t be in a better position to deliver.

The pandemic has accelerated the adoption of cloud-based communications platforms, and this shift to the cloud is bound to increase going forward. While most organizations are already familiar with UCaaS and CCaaS systems, not every organization is as familiar with CPaaS. But expect that to change dramatically. The results are in, and the word is out.

As we head into the holidays, I wish you all good health and much-deserved time off to gather and celebrate with loved ones. We have so much to be thankful for, with an extraordinary new year ahead that is sure to be full of opportunities that push us to adapt, evolve and create new and exciting solutions that bring delightful new experiences to customers.
